TICKETS.

Q: Are there discounts available for students?
A: Yes, for students who can prove their eligibility. To purchase a student ticket, simply use your .edu e-mail address; upon arrival at the conference, your status will be verified using your student ID.

Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds.  

SPONSORSHIP.

Q: I am interested in becoming a sponsor of the conference.  What are my options?
A: Mzuzah Convergence 2020 has two types of sponsorship: direct and media.

  • Direct sponsors contribute funds that will be used towards the operations of the conference.  Depending on the tier of sponsorship, direct sponsors receive recognition, tickets, VIP access, priority in recruiting attendees, and other benefits.

  • Media sponsors generally contribute ad dollars used in promoting the conference’s mission and theme.  Media sponsors receive recognition as well as other benefits.

Q: Who are the keynotes for Mzuzah Convergence @ JHU 2020?

TRAVEL / ACCOMMODATIONS.

Q: When should I plan to arrive in Baltimore?
A: We suggest arriving in the early afternoon of Tuesday, February 18, 2020.

Q: When should I plan to depart from Baltimore?
A: Any time after 3pm on Friday, February 21, 2020.

Q: What do I do if I need a visa to attend?
A: We can offer a letter to support your visa application once you register and pay for your conference ticket. Contact us @ mzuzah@mzuzah.com

Q: Do you have hotel / accommodation recommendations for the conference?
A: We have posted recommendations for nearby accommodations here.

Q: How do you recommend I get around Baltimore?
A: We suggest using official taxis, Uber, Lyft, and public transportation (MBTA).

Q: What is the dress code for the conference?
A: Dress code is business formal / business formal for the day time events on February 20 and 21. Comfortable sportswear is appropriate for the CSR day

Q: If I can’t attend the Forum, how else can I be involved?
A: Key sessions and many others will be recorded in the form of video, audio and photography. Social reporters will also share insights from the forum via blogs, tweets, videos and photos.

Q: Can I suggest someone to take my place at the Forum?
A: While the invitation is specific to each person, we will take recommendations on a case by case basis. Please send your suggestion to mzuzah@mzuzah.com

Q: Do you provide assistance with obtaining visas?
A: We can provide letters of support confirming attendance at the Forum. Please contact mzuzah@mzuzah.com for assistance.

Q: How can I participate in communicating about the Forum during the event?

Q: Can I bring a personal guest to any of the Forum sessions?
A: Each invitation is specific for each person. Personal guests must be fully registered.

Q: What ID do I need to bring?
A: Please bring a photo ID (passport or driver’s license) to check-in at on-site registration. You must wear your badge for access to all events.

Q: Where do I check-in for my badge and program?
A: Onsite registration will open at forum locations. You will be able to collect your badge and program there.

Q: Is there Internet access available at the Forum?
A: Wi-Fi access will be available to delegates. Information on how to connect will be available upon arrival.

Q: What provision is there for delegates with disabilities?
A: Arrangements can be made for people with disabilities – please email mzuzah@mzuzah.com

Q: Who do I notify about dietary requirements?
A: Specific dietary arrangements can be made through the online registration process.

Q: What is the dress code?
A: Dress is professional. You will be seated for much of the day in presentations and lectures, or standing and socializing, so dress to be comfortable. For CSR day, dress code Jeans and Red/ Brown (Event logo T. Shirt)
