Mutiu Damilola Samuel

Founder of Greenpad Concepts

Biography

Damilola Samuel Mutiu is a social entrepreneur from Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. In the last six years Damilola has worked in the youth and community development with a focus on jobs and wealth creation for the unemployed and marginalized youth in Ondo State. Damilola Samuel is the founder and CEO of GreenPad Concepts. His local made biodegradable sanitary pad product earned him Microsoft “#Insider4Good” award for innovation. He also received $5,000 Seed Capital from Tony Elumelu Foundation to execute his idea. He is currently working on scaling his biodegradable sanitary pad production. About GreenPad Concepts

GreenPad Concepts helps rural Nigeria girls stay in school during their menstrual period by providing access to biodegradable and affordable sanitary pads that are locally produced from agricultural by products. Green Pads produce eco-friendly sanitary pads made from 99% local materials with the main raw material being plantain and banana stems, an agricultural by-product that is hygienic, good quality and best of all bio-degradable! The pad cost 60% less than the pads already inn the market and girls/women from underprivileged families/communities can access the pads .Green Pad Concepts also develop a health education program that raises awareness about healthy feminine hygiene and eliminates the stigma and taboos surrounding menstruation.

Benedictus Agbenyo & Felix Owusu

Founders of The Developers Corps

Biography

Owusu Amoako Felix is a social entrepreneur from Ghana. In the previous four years Felix has promoted youth empowerment and community development mostly in underdeveloped communities in the Upper West Region of Ghana with priority on sustainable youth empowerment and entrepreneurship. Felix is a Mzuzah 2018 Sustainability Challenge winner.

Benedictus Korku Agbenyo is a young Economist with a demonstrated working history in the financial sector, local government administration and Non-Profit. He was a team member of the 2018 Mzuzah Sustainable Project Winning Team and a Mzuzah scholarship recipient to Johns Hopkins University Mzuzah Convergence. He is a passionate millennium, who believes in using dynamic indigenous solutions in developing countries in Africa.

 

About The Developers Corps

The Developers Corps seeks to firstly, provide academic mentorship to basic school students to facilitate the realization of SDG Four (4). Secondly, undertake sustainable community education titled "P4G4" (Parents for Goal Four) on the role of parents in the achievement of SDG four(4). Lastly, Establish a mobile library for basic school students in rural communities under the slogan, a reading community is a winning community.
